Open seats: Operator, Closer, Creator and Designer
Bookings work in testing. Everything human is open: a handover checklist, a damage-deposit rule, creators who hear about it, and listings that make a stranger trust a stranger’s camera. Four seats, the most a build takes.
- Goal for 30 days in Orbit
- First 25 rentals in one city
- Time it needs from you
- 10–15 hours a week
- A typical first week
- Operator: Write the pickup and return checklist and run it with the nine test rentals. Log every damage and delay it would have missed.
- Closer: Call five creators who own gear and sign them as owners. Book two test rentals at the damage deposit the Operator drafts before the week ends.
- Creator: Message the 230 creators on the waitlist and ask what they would rent first. Write the post that gets the next fifty to sign up.
- Designer: Book one item through the test flow as a stranger would. Redesign the listing and pickup screens so the condition photos do the trusting.
The patch for this Orbit
The patch is stamped on day 30 with the real number. The goal to beat: First 25 rentals in one city.

- Closer: 8.75%
- Creator: 8.75%

- Pool for later hires: 10%
From the crew
“The booking flow is done. Damage deposits, handovers and a damaged lens on a Sunday morning are outside our jurisdiction.”
